John and I have been honored by Deb Kelleher of FAM ( Foster and Adoptive Mission) to be nominated to CT State Representative Christopher Murphy. His office has nominated us for the 2010 Angels in Adoption award. With this honor, we have been invited to Washington DC for OCT 4-6th for a conference, pin ceremony, a gala and much more.
I will be traveling down to DC by myself, as John will be here holding down the fort at home. We are excited for the opportunity to learn as much as we can from the experience. Our Family, Church and DCF and it's collaboratives have all been very helpful and supportive and we appreciate all that everyone is doing to help make this happen. I will post my experiences over the next week for everyone to review. Thanks to everyone !!
